The AF Canyon Run Against Cancer has always been more than a race. It's about helping real-life cancer patients. In 2015, more than 3,500 runners raised $315,000 for cancer patients. Those funds make a big difference in the lives of those who receive this financial support. Here's how your money is used.

Amie Searcy was actively training for her first half marathon — the AF Canyon Run Against Cancer — when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Throughout her treatment, much of it at the American Fork Cancer Center, she continued to run, determined to beat her cancer. She also saw firsthand how the people receiving treatments with her have a great need for support, both emotionally and financially.
The Kneaders AF Canyon Run Against Cancer (formerly known as the American Fork Canyon Half Marathon & 5k), hosted by Intermountain Healthcare's Cancer Centers at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center and American Fork Hospital, is committed to making a difference in the lives of thousands of Utahns dealing with the difficulties and pains of cancer treatment.
In partnership with the Utah Valley Healthcare Foundation, our goal is to raise money to help patients in our community who are fighting cancer. With 100 percent of race fees and donations going directly to the cause, we know that together, we will make a difference.
